The Colorado Springs Sky Sox began play in the Pacific Coast League in 1988 when the Hawaii Islanders relocated to Colorado. They have captured two league titles, in 1992 as an Indians farm team, and in 1995 as a Rockies affiliate.

A previous Sky Sox team was a White Sox affiliate in the Western League in the 1950s.
