Moe Berg, who played at Princeton University, went to law school at Columbia. Ethan Allen, who went to college at the University of Cincinnati, earned a master's degree at Columbia. Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax, who attended the University of Cincinnati took courses at Columbia his rookie season, in 1955 (but never actually played for the Lions).
Since World War II, the only three players from Columbia are Gene Larkin, Frank Seminara and Fernando Perez
