Curaçao is an island in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Venezuela. It is the largest island of the Netherlands Antilles, a self-governing country in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is scheduled to become such a self-governing country in its own right in december 2008, but whether that will mean it will be represented by its own national baseball team remains to be seen.
