Pitcher Tex Carleton went 20-7 with a 1.89 ERA for the Houston Buffaloes in 1931 and then embarked on an eight season major league career. While playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers, he threw a no-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds on April 30th, 1940.
