Youth World Championship
From BR Bullpen
The World Youth Championship is run by the IBAF and has been played 12 times through 2005. The 13th match is scheduled for 2007. The tournament consists of players age 16 or under and was played annually in its early years, but is now a biannual tournament. The IBAF withdraw support for the 2007 tournament was canceled when Venezuela refused to issue visas to the Taiwan team; Australia and the Netherlands had already backed out due to security concerns. The tourney was held anyways with reduced membership.
