Before 1955 Season: Sent from the Philadelphia Phillies to the Sacramento (PCL) in an unknown transaction.

September 22, 1955: Traded by the Sacramento (PCL) with Richie Myers to the Chicago Cubs for players to be named later and cash. The Chicago Cubs sent Bubba Church (1956) and Joe Stanka (1956) to the Sacramento (PCL) to complete the trade.
