June 14, 1956: Traded by the New York Giants with Alvin Dark, Don Liddle, and Whitey Lockman to the St. Louis Cardinals for a player to be named later, Dick Littlefield, Jackie Brandt, Red Schoendienst, and Bill Sarni. The St. Louis Cardinals sent Gordon Jones (October 1, 1956) to the New York Giants to complete the trade.
